135 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if his Department will give sanction for the removal of the purchase clause referred to in correspondence dated 23 April 1998 in connection with the purchase of property by a person (details supplied) in County Sligo. [13812/98]
This type of clause was a standard provision in the deeds of conveyance for the many garda houses which were sold in recent years. Any decision to agree to the removal of the clause could therefore have wider implications than just this case. I am having the matter examined as speedily as possible in my Department and I will write to the Deputy as soon as I am in a position to make a decision.
