169 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if the proposed interdepartmental committee on the future policy with regard to exotic and dangerous wild animals has been established; if so, the terms of reference of this committee; when it will report to him; and when he will be in a position to act on a report with the implementation of legislation. As I indicated in the House on 3 June, my Department will pursue the setting up of an interdepartmental committee to agree future policy. I am, accordingly, taking steps to convene a first meeting of the group in the near future, and terms of reference will be settled when the composition of the group is decided. The question of the timing of a report of the group will be addressed also in that context.
