138 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will approve funding for a youth project (details supplied) in County Roscommon which is in an extremely disadvantaged area; when he hopes to make a decision on the application; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Due to the high level of ongoing commitments to existing projects under the grants scheme for special projects to assist disadvantaged youth, my Department has not been in a position to provide funding for the project referred to by the Deputy. However, additional funding is being sought and in the event of such funding becoming available my Department will review the position in the light of overall commitments.
