179 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Sligo will receive 1998 cattle headage and suckler cow premia. [23571/98]

The area aid application for the person named has been processed and any payments due will issue as soon as possible.

181 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Sligo will receive 1997 ten month beef premium, 40 per cent suckler cow premium and area aid payments; and when payments for 1998 will be made. [23573/98]

The person named is the subject of a court order obtained against him by a financial institution on 16 December 1997 and which was served on my Department. Under the court order the Department is obliged to offset headage and premia grants amounting to the sum of £21,195.72 together with further interest at the rate of £3.28 per day and costs of £250. To date, the balance owing is £15,047.10 and when this amount is offset payment of grants will resume to the person named.

182 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if BSE top-up payment to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford will be expedited; when payment will issue; and the amount of this payment. [23576/98]

A final payment of BSE top-up amounting to £119.76 was made to the person named on 15 October 1998 in respect of 12 additional eligible animals under the 1996 special beef premium scheme. There are no further payments due the person named under the BSE-agrimonetary schemes.
