364 Ms Clune asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands the arrangements, if any, she has put in place in her Department to offset any adverse effects of the millennium bug; the effects the millennium bug will have; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [23526/98]

My Department has a work programme in place to deal with issues arising from the year 2000 problem. All critical IT systems in my Department will be fully compliant by 1 January 1999.
