Written Answers - Rural Renewal Scheme.
On the question of the introduction of a rural renewal scheme, I refer the Deputy to my announcement of such a scheme in last year's budget speech, to the Adjournment Debate held in the Dáil on 21 October last when the issue of the EU Commission's involvement in approving the tax incentives for the new urban and rural schemes was discussed, to the numerous parliamentary questions I have answered on this scheme since it was announced and finally to my replies to several oral parliamentary questions related to this issue last Tuesday 17 November.
