Vol. 497 No. 2

Written Answers - Health Services.

Gay Mitchell

Question:

228 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children if his Department will examine the case of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 who has been refused a subvention towards nursing home costs. [24332/98]

As the Deputy will be aware the provision of health services in the Dublin area is, in the first instance, a matter for the Eastern Health Board.

I have asked the chief executive officer of the Eastern Health Board to investigate this case as a matter of urgency and respond directly to the Deputy with the board's findings.
