155 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if area aid problems will be resolved for a person (details supplied) in County Sligo; if 1998 cattle headage payments will be made; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24590/98]

Difficulties have arisen in processing the area aid application for the person named and he has been informed. When these have been resolved, any payments due will issue as soon as possible.

157 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in the payment of headage and suckler cow grants to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24597/98]

An application was made by the person named under both the cattle headage and suckler cow premium scheme on 28 May 1998. At an on-farm inspection it was found that nine of the animals entered on his claim for cattle headage were absent. Documentary evidence is required to show that the absent animals were in his ownership and possession at the time of application. The person named has been informed of this requirement. His suckler cow premium grants have been approved and an advance payment will issue shortly.

158 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when beef and cow scheme payments will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24601/98]

The area aid application for the person named has been processed. Any outstanding payments due will issue as soon as possible.

159 Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will have his area aid file cleared and a cattle headage grant paid. [24624/98]

The person named will be paid his entitlement under the 1998 cattle headage scheme within the next 14 days.
