Vol. 501 No. 4

Written Answers. - Local Authority Housing.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

60 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government his views on whether the number of local authority houses proposed in 1999 is likely to make any significant impact on the very large numbers who are either on local authority housing lists or are unable to achieve affordable housing in the current market conditions; the measures, if any, he proposes to address this problem as a matter of urgency; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6224/99]

I refer to my reply to Question No. 7 on today's Order Paper.
