287 Mr. U. Burke asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he has sanctioned and approved a request from Galway County Council for grant finance to refurbish or replace houses at Gortbride, Loughrea, County Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6965/99]

Galway County Council has been informed by my Department that funding will be provided for the refurbishment of the group housing scheme at Gortbride.
