341 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands the number of film projects undertaken in each of the past five years; the proposals, if any, in respect of 1999; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [7182/99]
The information available to my Department relates to the number of film projects certified under section 481 of the Taxes Consolidation Act, 1997, formerly section 35 of the Finance Act, 1987, as amended. To date in 1999 four film projects have received certification and a further eight applications are being processed by my Department. The numbers of film projects certified in previous years are as follows: 1994–11; 1995–48; 1996–31; 1997–32; 1998–32.
