Written Answers. - Wildlife Rangers.

Jim Higgins

Question:

161 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands if there are any vacancies for wildlife rangers in County Mayo; and, if so, when it is proposed to fill these. [7290/99]

There are currently at least two vacancies for wildlife rangers in County Mayo. A competition was held recently by the Civil Service Commission to fill wildlife ranger vacancies throughout the country and it is proposed to fill these vacancies as candidates are assigned from this competition.
