Vol. 504 No. 2

Written Answers. - Departmental Offices.

Denis Naughten

Question:

194 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Finance the number of offices or institutions under his Department which are open to the public; the number of these accessible to people with disabilities; the plans, if any, there are to ensure all buildings are accessible; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11749/99]

The staff of my Department are located in six different premises, some of which are shared with other tenants. All of the buildings have public access and all have disability access, though in some cases such access is not entirely satisfactory. My Department currently has a programme in place to improve disability access to all premises occupied by the Department which will commence this year with improved disability access being provided to Government Buildings and Lower Hatch Street.
