260 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Education and Science the position regarding the extension to St. Declan's community college, Kil macthomas, County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14382/99]
My Department's post primary building unit is currently awaiting a combined stage four-five, detailed design – bill of quantities, submission for the proposed extension to St. Declan's community college, Kilmacthomas, from County Waterford Vocational Education Committee's design team.
As soon as the report is received the matter will receive further attention.
261 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will make an early and favourable decision on the application by the principal of Piltown national school, County Kilkenny, for inclusion of the school in the new funding arrangements for building projects. [14383/99]
The building project for Piltown national school will qualify for the new funding arrangements. The matter is currently being processed by the planning and building unit of my Department.

Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will place a second advertisement in the EU journal to seek tenders for the construction of the new community school in Trim, County Meath; if so, when tenders will be sought; if planning permission has been sought for temporary accommodation at the school to facilitate classes while construction is under way; if so, when the planning application was made; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Stage four, detailed design, and stage five, bill of quantities, for the proposed new community school at Trim, County Meath, have been completed by the design team.
Stage four has been approved, subject to a number of amendments, by officials of the building unit of my Department while stage five is currently being considered by my officials.
