Vol. 508 No. 4

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Willie Penrose

Question:

179 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will communicate with the Midland Health Board and ascertain the facilities provided by the board for a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath; if he will ensure an immediate reply is furnished and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19331/99]

The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons in County Westmeath is the statutory responsibility of the Midland Health Board in the first instance. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
