Question:

101 Mr. Kirk asked the Taoiseach the estimated number of jobs in the industrial sector; and the number of jobs in the services sector created in County Louth in each of the past three years. [20256/99]

The quarterly national household survey prior to 1998 the Labour Force Survey gives information on the numbers of persons at work in different sectors but only at the regional level and not at county level. The numbers of persons at work in the industrial and ser vices sectors in recent years in the Border region are as follows:

The Border region consists of Counties Louth, Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Monaghan and Sligo.
