294 Mr. Moloney asked the Minister for Finance the moneys, if any, he has received by way of interest on purchase moneys in respect of property acquired by Laois County Council at the Great Heath of Maryborogh for the Portlaoise by-pass; and if any transfer of these lands from him to Laois County Council has taken place. [21172/99]

The amount paid by Laois County Council by way of interest on purchase moneys in respect of property acquired by Laois County Council at the Great Heath of Maryborough for the Portlaoise by-pass is £21,303.56. The legal work necessary to effect the transfer of this property to Laois County Council has not yet been completed.
