Vol. 511 No. 3

Written Answers. - Planning Issues.

Michael Bell

Question:

65 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the plans, if any, he has to establish a special division of the High Court to deal with planning issues; when this will be established; the number of judges to be allocated to the division; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24295/99]

At this point in time I have no firm plans to establish a special division of the High Court to deal with planning issues. However, it is one of a number of possible options being considered in the context of improvements in the development of infrastructural projects. Any such proposals would require legislation and will be announced in the usual way.
