Written Answers - Grant Payments.
The person named did not initially supply a map necessary to process his 1999 area aid application, therefore, the area aid unit issued maps to the herdowner, to enable him to outline the boundaries of land claimed by him, and a response is awaited. The application cannot be further processed until a reply is received.

Question:172 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when clarification, which has been sought for some time, will issue in order to expedite a farm retirement grant for a person (details supplied) in County Limerick. [26086/99]
My Department has answered certain queries on the scheme of early retirement from farming which were raised by the person named and is not aware that there are any further queries outstanding. To date, my Department can find no record of an application having been made by this person.
