Vol. 512 No. 7

Written Answers. - School Transport.

Bernard Allen

Question:

215 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork is being refused school transport for his daughter who attends Carrigtwohill secondary convent; and the reason he has been informed that she is disqualified due to the fact she is in the catchment area of Riverstown community college when she is exactly three miles from the college. [27208/99]

I have asked my Department to re-examine the application for school transport to Carrigtwohill secondary school for the pupil in question.

The Deputy will be informed of the outcome as soon as possible.
