The person named was paid his full entitlement of £144.00 under the 1999 cattle headage scheme on 8 December 1999.
The person named did not submit an application in respect of the 1999 suckler cow premium scheme and therefore he has no entitlement to payment under this scheme for 1999. He applied on fifteen hogget ewes under the 1999 sheep headage scheme. At an inspection carried out on his flock on 2 March 1999, seven of these animals were found to be over-age for the scheme. Consequently, as the number of animals rejected exceeded 20% of the animals claimed, he was advised by my Department by letter of 3 June 1999 that in accordance with clause 10(i) of the terms and conditions governing the scheme he was not eligible for payment under this scheme in 1999. He was given the opportunity to have this decision reviewed by writing to my Department within 21 days setting out any facts which he wished to put forward to support his case. He contacted my Department by telephone on 2 December 1999 regarding his 1999 sheep headage application and he was again advised about the review procedure. He wrote to the Department on 3 December 1999 but did not request a review. The person named confirmed by telephone on 10 December 1999 that he intended to seek a review but to date no further information has been received by my Department from him.
