Vol. 517 No. 2

Written Answers. - Macroeconomic Forecasts.

Proinsias De Rossa

Question:

33 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Minister for Finance if he has revised the macroeconomic forecasts comprised in the stability programme issued by Government following the 2000 budget in view of the Programme for Prosperity and Fairness; if he will give details of the revised forecasts; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9332/00]

My Department produced macroeconomic forecasts last December as part of budget 2000. It is normal practice to publish a revised set of forecasts for the current year at mid-year in the Economic Review and Outlook. The impact of the new national agreement, and general economic developments, will be reflected in these forecasts.
