Vol. 518 No. 1

Written Answers. - Visitor Centres.

Breeda Moynihan-Cronin

Question:

52 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands if she will make a statement on the decision of An Bord Pleanála to refuse to allow a visitors' centre at Mullaghmore, County Clare. [10902/00]

I am disappointed that the proposed entry point to the Burren National Park has been refused planning permission by An Bord Pleanála.

I have asked my officials to enter into discussions with Clare County Council with a view to developing an alternative site to allow visitor access to the national park.
