145 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children if he has received a communication from the Irish Medical Organisation indicating that it will initiate legal action if the grievances and disputes procedure is not initiated within 14 days, a procedure which was agreed during the 1997 consultant contract negotiations. I can confirm that I have received correspondence from the Irish Medical Organisation on this matter. These issues should be resolved at local management level without recourse to the High Court.
