Vol. 520 No. 3

Written Answers. - Re-admission Treaties.

Austin Deasy

Question:

56 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if, in view of the fact he has signed a re-admission treaty with Romania for the re-admission of illegal immigrants to that country, he will indicate the other countries he hopes to sign a similar agreement with. [15623/00]

Arrangements are being made at present to conclude re-admission agreements with Poland and Nigeria. Consideration is also being given to the conclusion of an agreement with Bulgaria. The need to conclude additional agreements with other countries will be kept under review on an on-going basis.
