97 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if a person (details supplied) in County Wexford will have his application for the early retirement scheme processed as soon as possible; if he will be approved for same; and if it will be backdated to the date of application. The person named applied for an early retirement pension on 23 December 1999. Processing of this application is nearing completion. However, there are still two outstanding details to be finalised by the applicant and his solicitor, of which they have been made aware. When these are complete the application will be approved for payment.
