Willie Penrose
Question:98 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he has satisfied himself that the recent lease of a substantial milk quota and land, entered into by Teagasc in the north Cork area with a person (details supplied) is necessary for it to carry out research for dairying enterprise; if it is the usual practice to give Teagasc special dispensation from the regulations surrounding the milk quota regime, when the same is not available to many small farmers who are attempting to survive on quotas as low as 30,000 gallons; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
