370 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands the plans she has to restore Roscommon Castle in Roscommon town in view of the fact that it is one of the few castles of its time here; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [22044/00]

Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands (Miss de Valera):

An extensive programme of conservation and presentation works have been undertaken by my Department over recent years at Roscommon Castle so to ensure its preservation. I have no plans to undertake further works at this point.
