377 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the position regarding extra resources being made available to expand the sewage treatment plant at Castlebar, County Mayo; if his attention has been drawn to the inadequacy of the treatment works capacity; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I refer to the reply to Questions Nos. 713 and 714 of 3 October 2000. The position is unchanged.

Question:

378 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will make an urgent decision on technical approval for the brief for a consultant in order that the preliminary report can be carried out for the Kenmare water improvement scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23018/00]

A brief for this scheme has recently been submitted to my Department and is being technically examined.
