278 Mr. Lawlor asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he intends to bring in the various provisions of the Equal Status Act, 2000, on a phased basis; and if so, if he has arrived at a determination on the indicative timetable for the introduction of those provisions related to golf clubs. I am pleased to inform the Deputy that the entire Equal Status Act, 2000, including the provisions which apply to private registered clubs, is in operation with effect from today, 25 October 2000. The requisite commencement order, made under section 48 of the Act, was signed by me earlier today.
