Question:

378 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo received a reduced amount for cattle headage 2000; when he will receive his entitlements for 1999 and balance payments for 2000 in all schemes. [1310/01]

The 1999 area aid application for the person named has now been fully processed with no outstanding errors and the area for payment purposes has been determined at 12.18 hectares.

In addition, the 2000 area aid application for the person named has also been fully processed with no outstanding errors and the area for payment purposes in this case has been determined at 11.10 hectares. Any payments due as a result in both cases will issue as soon as possible.

379 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has received all headage and premia entitlements for 2000. [1312/01]

The person named received his full entitlement of £901.20 on 25 September 2000 under the 2000 cattle headage scheme and he has been paid £1297.02 representing an 80% advance under the 2000 suckler cow premium scheme. He has also this week been paid an 80% advance payment in respect of his 2000 special beef premium application. Balancing payments in respect of suckler cow and special beef premium should be paid in early February.

The herdowner is not due any payments under the slaughter premium 2000 scheme.
