Vol. 529 No. 1

Written Answers. - Housing Aid for the Elderly.

Michael Ring

Question:

565 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of applications from each county to the Western Health Board for assistance under the special housing aid for the elderly scheme approved in 1999; and the contributions which were made by applicants towards the costs of work approved. [1231/01]

As the Deputy is aware, the housing aid scheme for the elderly is administered by the health boards and the Eastern Regional Health Authority, on behalf of the Department of Environment and Local Government. I have asked the chief executive officer of the Western Health Board to provide the information requested by the Deputy and to forward it to him as a matter of urgency.
