115 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when he will give Dublin Corporation authority to refund £149 to holders of wheelchair accessible taxi plates; if legislation is required; when procedures will be resolved; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3440/01]
I have indicated that it is proposed to develop an administrative scheme to address high licensing fees paid to certain local authorities for the grant of certain taxi and wheelchair accessible taxi licences. It is not envisaged that this will require legislative provision and my Department will issue instructions in the matter to licensing authorities very shortly.
