Vol. 530 No. 3

Written Answers. - Visa Applications.

Dan Neville

Question:

236 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when a working visa will be granted to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick. [3577/01]

I presume the Deputy is referring to the right to work of the person who is the subject of this parliamentary question. In general, asylum seekers are not allowed to work pending consideration of their applications for refugee status and, in this regard, I refer the Deputy to my reply to Parliamentary Questions Nos. 61 and 152 of 7 February 2001.
