Question:86 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason for the delay in the payment of area aid to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [4283/01]
Written Answers. - Grant Payments
The person named furnished an incomplete 2000 area aid application in that he did not include a map for a new parcel of land on which he is claiming area aid. The area aid unit made contact with the applicant in this regard and he subsequently submitted maps which have now been entered on to the Department's electronic database. The total forage area on his application is 6.24 hectares and the application is now clear for payment purposes on this area. Payment due will issue early next week.
