Question:375 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will have investigations made into the provision of funding for the purchase of a site for a school (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6753/01]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 370 and 375 together.
My Department is assessing the most efficient and cost-effective way of providing appropriate long-term accommodation for the school mentioned by the Deputy. The question of site purchase will be dealt with in the context of this assessment. The application is one of a large number being processed by my Department and it will be dealt with as quickly as possible, having regard to the priority to be afforded to such projects. The school authorities will be kept informed of developments.
