Vol. 532 No. 4

Written Answers. - Sheep Importation.

Phil Hogan

Question:

257 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development his findings to date arising from his investigation into the importation of sheep from Carlisle, England, which were subsequently slaughtered at a meat plant at Athleague, County Roscommon; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8176/01]

This matter is under investigation and I do not propose to comment further as to do so could prejudice any proceedings, which may arise.
