The tender report in respect of the new college in Drogheda was received in my Department on 13 March 2001. The report is being examined within my Department and when complete a decision will be conveyed to the school's management authority, County Louth VEC.

Cecilia Keaveney

Question:

336 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Education and Science the position in relation to a school extension (details supplied) in County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8888/01]

In February 2001 the building unit of my Department wrote to the management authority of the school to which the Deputy refers requesting the completion of an educational worksheet. An educational worksheet is designed to enable a school's management authority to specify and quantify its requirements in the context of the totality of a school's curriculum. When the completed educational worksheet is received and analysed, the matter of providing additional accommodation at the school will be progressed.
