314 Mr. Browne (Carlow-Kilkenny) asked the Minister for Education and Science the number of full-time and part-time education centres here; the location of each centre; the number of teachers in the education centre area; and the number of schools in this regard. [10625/01]

At present there are 22 full-time and nine part-time education centres and these are set out in the following appendix. The locations of the centres are also indicated.

It is not possible to indicate the number of schools and teachers in the various centres as the catchment areas of centres have not been specifically defined in these terms. A formal review of centres, which is due to commence shortly, will address this issue.
