231 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Education and Science when the refurbishment of a school (details supplied) in County Kildare will commence in view of the urgent need for such refurbishment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10953/01]
My Department has recently received an application for grant aid for refurbishment works at the school referred to by the Deputy.
In view of the large number of school building projects currently being dealt with by my Department at present and the priority to be afforded to such projects, it is not possible at this point to give any indication as to when this application will be processed.
The school authorities will be kept informed of developments.
