Vol. 535 No. 1

Written Answers - Family Support Services.

Jack Wall

Question:

300 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Health and Children the plans he has to provide funds or assistance to families where one member of the family has been declared missing by the Garda; the facilities which he has to deal with the trauma and concerns of such a family; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11591/01]

Health boards are in a position to offer appropriate counselling and support services to those members of a declared missing person's family who are identified as being in need of such services. The provision of these services is a matter in the first instance for each health board having regard to the needs in individual cases.

Question No. 301 answered with Question No. 296.
