Question:319 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in County Mayo is on a waiting list in Merlin Park Hospital for assessment or surgery; and if so, when he will be called. [11774/01]

The provision of medical treatment in this instance is the responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of that board to investigate the position in this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
