Vol. 535 No. 4

Written Answers - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Question:

198 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 can be offered a bed in St. James' Hospital, Dublin 8, as soon as possible to free up a bed in her current facility and offer her appropriate rehabilitation and physiotherapy. [12981/01]

Responsibility for the provision of hospital services to residents of Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
