Vol. 536 No. 2

Written Answers - Local Authority Housing.

Jack Wall

Question:

343 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the number of sites for affordable housing that Offaly County Council have made representations to his Department for in the Kilcormac area of the county; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13912/01]

Local authorities do not require my Department's approval for individual projects being developed under the affordable housing scheme, however, they apply to my Department if they are seeking a site subsidy for such projects. There are no claims with my Department for the payment of site subsidy for affordable housing scheme projects at Kilcormac.
