Question:436 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Education and Science when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be called for an educational assessment; and if he will give a definite date in this regard. [13605/01]
Written Answers - Psychological Service.
The psychological service provided by the national educational psychological service is now being extended to more primary schools in County Mayo and will continue to expand until all schools in the county have access to it. NEPS is now finalising details of a scheme for the funding of urgent assessments for children in schools that do not yet have access to its service. I have requested that an assessment of this particular child, be arranged by NEPS, in consultation with her school, as soon as possible.
