Vol. 536 No. 2

Written Answers - Grant Payments.

Question:

147 Dr. Upton asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment when the names of the successful applicants for grants from Science Foundation Ireland will be announced; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [13856/01]

Science Foundation Ireland has completed an intensive international peer review process of all the proposals submitted in the first call for proposals. The successful applicants have been informed of the results and the foundation is currently completing negotiations with those candidates and the research bodies in Ireland in which they will be located.

The names of the successful candidates will be released following acceptance of the contracts by the parties concerned.
