Vol. 536 No. 5

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Denis Naughten

Question:

234 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of people waiting for physiotherapy services in each county in the Western Health Board area; the average length of time they are waiting; the way in which this compares to the waiting time of private patients; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15038/01]

Hospital waiting list data for physiotherapy services is not collected by my Department. However, I have asked the chief executive officer of the Western Health Board, who has responsibility for the provision of services, to examine this issue and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
