332 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 214 of 16 May 2001, if he will give the corresponding figures for the previous five years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15034/01]

I am informed by the Garda authorities, which are responsible for the detailed allocation of personnel and resources to individual areas, that the manpower strength, all ranks, of each operational Garda division as at 1 January for each of the last five years is as set out hereunder:
