223 Ms O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation if he has satisfied himself that facilities required for the hosting of the Special Olympics here will be fully in place at the appropriate time; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15182/01]

As I have already stated in replies to questions on this matter on March 6 and May 15, the responsibility for organising, financing and delivering the Special Olympic Games in Ireland in 2003 lies with the games organising committee under the chairmanship of Mr. Denis O'Brien.
