Vol. 537 No. 2

Written Answers. - Housing Aid for the Elderly.

Gerry Reynolds

Question:

269 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will provide the North Western Health Board with further funding for the special housing aid for the elderly scheme (details supplied). [15539/01]

A total of £700,000 for the operation of the scheme of special housing aid for the elderly in 2001 has been allocated to the North-Western Health Board by the task force which, under the aegis of my Department, administers the scheme. This will enable the health board to continue a high level of activity under the scheme. The overall provision for the scheme in 2001 has been fully allocated.
